The Centre for Postcolonial Education is NIRMAN’s own research centre. It conducts research projects, affiliates fellows, organises lectures, seminars, workshops, and conferences, brings out publications, and is the umbrella for the Arts Studios and Study Abroad Program. We believe that all theory must be strongly grounded in practice, and vice versa. All visitors and fellows are required to do some practical work, such as teaching and workshops with children. All teachers and workers participate in intellectual events. Children learn to conduct their own research projects and present information in different ways. The major event for interaction with the public and the presentation of year-long research by children is through the Fair.
